Friday Photo Fun #43

Okay,  ready for some photo fun?

I'll get right to it.  Here's today's photo:

You know how this goes. Try to guess what this is, and leave your answer in the comments. The first person to get it right, gets their blog linked to my big red button. And if you win but you don't have a blog, I'll link to the page of your choice (I reserve the right not to link to anything I find objectionable). So, what are you waiting for? Go on. Guess. You know you want to.

And when you're done with that, why don't you come visit me on Organic Gardening Tips, where I'm guest posting today.

Oh, and remember, everyone who plays along gets a spot on my next linky-love post, so don't leave without commenting, even if you don't have a clue. We won't laugh, we promise.

  5. A rubber 'thing' to help you open jars. You hold it and it helps you get a purchase on the lid.

  6. Okay, so far no one has gotten it. It is something from a plant, but not a flower. It's edible, grows on a bush (or sometimes tree, depending on how you prune it), and you find it in Autumn.

    1. No, but you are getting closer. It is a fruit. The plant is used as a symbol for a well-known city.

  8. Aha! The old madroño, Arbutus unedo, the Strawberry Tree.

I had no idea that was part of the symbology of Madrid.

    1. Yes! It's a photo I took of a madroño fruit last fall. We have a bush in our garden. Congrats!
