Bon voyage!

Our cat story had an unfortunate end. On Tuesday I received a call from a woman who said she'd seen a Siamese cat that had been run over just in front of the girls' school, so Jesús went to check it out. He wasn't completely sure it was Coco so he took the dead cat to the vet to check if it had a microchip. Sadly, it was Coco, so we've had some rough days. I haven't felt much like blogging these days, but I do want to thank everyone who left comments on my last post.

Tomorrow we are leaving on vacation, so I won't be blogging much this month, but I'll try to stop in somewhere along the way. First we're off to Lyon to visit some friends, and then Paris where we'll spend four days at Disneyland (and I hope we'll see some of Paris besides; I mean Mickey Mouse is great, but I want the girls to see the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre at least). After that we'll continue on through Belgium and finally stop in Holland to visit my Mom. If I don't get any posts up there, then I'll be back in August, so have a happy July everyone and wish me a bon voyage.

  3. Saw your blog listed over at Dan's and thought I'd drop by. So sorry to read about Coco, I recently lost my german shepherd Heidi very suddenly so I have an idea how you might be feeling.
I also have 2 cats (my first ones) and the one thing that bothers me the most is knowing when they go out there's a chance they may not come back. I hope your holiday helps you get over your sadness.

  5. Dear Theresa and family, I hoped I wouldn't have to tell you how Coco's absence was also affecting all of us in Blogville...but this huge sadness has all of us feeling your loss. I bet you have many happy and funny things to recall and talk to each other about, concerning your beautiful seal point. Your wonderful vacation together is here at exactly the right time to help the healing. Hopefully within a short time you'll be thinking up names for a sweet new fuzzy member of your family.

Theresa, if you'll have free hours in Holland and are near Amsterdam, remember Morgan is there. My e-mail is judyd@computan.on.ca and I could put your family and Morgan together for a quick visit if that was feasible. He is not available one day, next Tuesday. I'd give you his cell number if you e-mail me.

    Bon voyage friends.......Love, Judy

  6. i am SO sorry for your loss. i know you and your family are devastated, and may only be consoled by the fact that poor sweet Coco probably didn't suffer. (i hope that's the case) and that the loving memory of your cat will lead you to bring another furry four-legged friend into your home, when the time is right.

that said, i'm confident you and your family will have a perfectly fabulous and happy time on your trip... Coco would have wanted it that way.

stay safe/have FUN!! know that we'll miss you AND expect a FULL report upon your return. : ) xox
