And the answer to the Pamplona Joke:
Drum roll please....
"They'll be the only ones carrying a jacket over their arm." (If you've ever experienced Pamplona's weather this'll be funny, if you haven't all I can say is, come visit)
Uh, okay, well, this seemed funny at the time, I guess you just had to be there. Looks like it loses something in translation. Kind of like this morning when we were out having a beer in the park and ordered gambas en gabardina (prawns in batter) and the waiter brought us pimientos rellenos (stuffed peppers). Go figure.
While we didn't get what we ordered, we did come away with a restaurant for Rocío's Communion. After shelling out 300 euros (to be discounted from the final bill) to reserve at a hotel near the park we discovered this joyous celebration is going to cost 56 euros a head (ouch). So much for simple spirituality, looks like we'll have to take out a small loan for this one.
On another note, today is Earth Day so I commend (not command, commend. Or maybe I should command, after all someone once said, "Command and you shall be obeyed") you all to go out and do something nice for the Earth. As for myself, I have a pile of laundry the size of a small country waiting to be ironed, but I think I'll pass on that and save electricity instead. (If you happen to hear of a house collapsing under the weight of a pile of ironing, that would be ours). Anyway, you came here for something funny, and if you didn't then you're probably in the wrong place, so here's a video to lighten up your day:
