This morning we woke up to a brilliant sunny day. I checked our outdoor thermometer and it read 34ºC so I thought it would be a great day for a barbecue. Jesús went off to the supermarket to pick up some lamb chops and shish kebabs, and we got out some chistorra (a typical basque sausage) and shrimp that we had in the freezer. Man, was it hot outside, the kids were running around in short sleeves, skirts and no socks; it looked like spring was finally here.
Once the barbecue was all set up and the girls were playing in their tent, the clouds started to roll in. Luckily, we had just enough time to finish having lunch and pick up the tent when the rain started pouring down. Soon after, we heard something that sounded like someone pouring marbles on the roof, and we looked out to see it was hailing like crazy. That's the weather in Pamplona for ya. Oh well, at least the shrimp were delicious.
