The House Fairy

Last month we signed our kids up for the House Fairy.

The House Fairy visits children's rooms all over the world, and if their rooms are clean she leaves a little treat. Our kids saw the introductory video and thought it would be really cool if the House Fairy could come visit our house too. So far, she has come several times and now the beds are almost always made and the toys pretty much put away. A couple of times she couldn't leave a treat because the beds weren't made, but usually the rooms are clean enough. The best thing the House Fairy has left so far are coupons for an extra 1/2 hour of play on the DS (we only let them play 1/2 hour on weekdays, and an hour on weekends). Carmen has also gotten a coupon that if she collects 10 she'll get a new game for the DS. Boy, is she ever keeping her room clean now.

If you want to learn more about this program, visit the House Fairy Site. We love it!

  1. This house fairy program sounds wonderfull! They learn to keep things neat and parents don't have to nag all the time! Great!

  2. That sounds great, where did you find out about it?

  3. Well that sounds like a great motivator! I'll have to pitch it to the kids.
Thanks for stopping by my place and giving advice about traveling to Spain. How very cool that you live there. We will be visiting Valencia, so the temps will be fairly warm, I assume. We'll be there for Las Fallas. Have you been to that festival? I will be shopping this week for all my necessities! I don't mind looking like a tourist, I just want to look like a professional one! You know, someone who travels ALL the time and doesn't have 4 kids waiting back home for her. We'll see if I can pull that off!

  4. Hi kfk! Thanks for coming to my blog, yours is really funny. I sent you an e-mail but I don't know if you got it. So, when are you leaving? Have a great time! By the way, the House Fairy thing is great it's done wonders for my kids' rooms.
